Forecasters have indicated an icy start to the new year, with snowfall likely throughout a lot of the UK. Celebrants are advised to bundle up as bitterly cold temperatures are forecast for New Year's Eve.
Celebratory Plans Continue Amid Warnings

As we enter Friday, weather warnings are in place for Northern Ireland and stretching from Wales, through the north-west, the West Midlands and all the way to London and most of the south-east of England.
